Hey There! My name is Matt Young and I am a general contractor based in Orange County, California with nearly 30 years experience in construction.

 

When I first got into the business back in 1998, I had the opportunity to learn the trades hands-on, working my way up the construction management chain — from assistant superintendent to site superintendent to project manager — successfully completing over 500 production and semi-custom homes before earning my license in 2009.

 

In 2009, I founded Dawn Residential Inc. and for 17 years have grown the business to include custom kitchens and baths, complete interiors, additions, and full renovations — from reworked interior floor plans to structural retrofits involving steel beams and caissons. We take on projects of all sizes, from small updates to large-scale transformations.

Quality, workflow, and communication are always top priorities for us and we operate with full transparency. We’ve built a strong wheelhouse of subcontractors we’ve worked with for years, and they deliver on time, every time. Our team genuinely enjoys the work, the challenges each project brings and we treat every home like it’s our own. With faith and hard work, we look forward to many more years of success.
